This course provides a chronological survey of Holocaust history with emphasis on the evolution of Nazi policy. Teachers leave this course with usable classroom activities, age-appropriate resources, and a familiarity with recorded testimonies of local Holocaust survivors.
This training prepares 7th-12th grade educators to implement the Echoes and Reflections curriculum.
This course focuses on the effective integration of primary source testimony in Holocaust education, centered around the six-part documentary series based on local Kansas City survivors in the Witnesses to the Holocaust Archive. Special attention is paid to analyzing testimony, determining the role of memory in history, and personalizing the Holocaust.
