Americans and the Holocaust Educator Workshop

February 10 @ 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

RESCHEDULED for February 10 and 17, 2021
4:30 – 7:30pm
Via Zoom
Holocaust history raises important questions about what Europeans could have done to stop the rise of Nazism in Germany and its assault on Europe’s Jews. Questions must also be asked about the responsibility of the international community, including the United States. What did the US government and the American people know about the threats posed by Nazi Germany? What responses were possible?
This two-part teacher workshop is offered in partnership with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Utilizing USHMM’s online exhibit Americans and the Holocaust, this workshop will examine the motives, pressures, and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war, and genocide.
Educators of grades 7-12 are welcome to attend. Register at https://mchekc.org/america/.
