Herbert Gruenebaum

Of Blessed Memory 1928-2021

Herbert Gruenebaum lived with his family in Cologne, Germany on the first floor of a modern apartment building.  As a small child he recalled two Nazi officers in his home and seeing a huge swastika hanging from the balcony above  soldiers on horseback pulling cannons. Herbert and his family immigrated to the United States in 1936 when they joined family in Ohio.
