Steve Sherry

Steve Sherry was born in Vienna, Austria in 1938 to Otto and Lili Serbrenik. Steve’s maternal grandfather owned a significant retail business, Bruder Fleberbaum, which was destroyed on Kristallnacht.  That same day Steve’s uncle was arrested and temporarily imprisoned in Dachau. As a result of the increasing pressure and persecution, the family emigrated and made their way to the United States in January 1939.
