This course will acquaint educators with State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda, a traveling exhibition produced by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and presented by the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education June 24-October 25, 2014 at the National Archives at Kansas City.  Participants will learn to effectively contextualize and sensitively address the subject of Nazi propaganda in their classrooms, gaining hands-on practice with primary source analysis and access to lesson plans directly tied to the exhibition.

Following introductory remarks by Dr. William Meinecke, historian from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, educators from the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education and the National Archives at Kansas City will lead a group tour of the exhibition and demonstrate on-site activities planned for school groups.

Open to educators of grades 7 and up.

There is no fee for this program, but registration is required by July 16, 2014. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
