Yom Hashoah
This year’s virtual community Yom Hashoah service commemorates the 78th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the 58th anniversary of the dedication of the Memorial to the Six Million. Chaired by Ida Kolkin, the program will feature the wartime experiences of her parents, Fred and Maria Devinki, both of blessed memory. The program will also include the traditional lighting of 6 candles honoring the 6 million murdered Jewish victims, opening remarks provided by Rabbi Moshe Grussgott from Kehilath Israel Synagogue, and a closing reflection offered by Rabbi Doug Alpert of Congregation Kol Ami.
