This workshop, for 7-12th grade educators, will introduce participants to 10 survivor testimonies from MCHE’s Witnesses to the Holocaust Archive. A member of the Isak Federman Holocaust Teaching Cadre will introduce their experiences and highlight curated clips from their online testimony for classroom use.

Following a speed-dating platform, participants will receive information specific to each survivor, including connections between each testimony and the Echoes and Reflections curriculum.

Your $10 registration fee includes a light supper, all materials, and (that night only) a $10 discount off the purchase of From the Heart: Life Before and After the Holocaust~A Mosaic of Memories, featuring photographs and profiles of 52 survivors and refugees who came to call Kansas City home.

Please contact Jessica Rockhold at 913-327-8195 with questions.

Registration required by Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

Funding for MCHE’s 2017-2018 school programs and teacher education opportunities is provided, in part, by an allocation from the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City.
