Regina Dollman
Of Blessed Memory 1929-2022
Rivka Chaba was born in Lipiny, Poland in 1929. She lived there with her parents, her sister, her brother and her extended family.
When Rivka was 11 years old the Nazis occupied Poland and the family was forced to leave their village. The family was placed in a ghetto before being deported to different camps. The majority of Rivka’s family was sent to Auschwitz where they were murdered. She was sent to Parschnitz, a forced labor camp in Czechoslovakia.
After the war Rivka made her way to Palestine where she was able to attend school to become a nurse. In the early 1950’s Rivka – now Regina Chaba – learned that she had a surviving aunt living in Kansas City. In 1958, with her aunt’s help, Regina made her way to the United States where she met her future husband, Eric Dollman.
