As our Holocaust survivors grew older, it became increasingly difficult for them to publicly give their testimony. Their children – the second generation – began to tell their parents’ stories and also speak about the unique experience of being a child of a Holocaust survivor.

The members of our Speakers Bureau are available to meet with school groups in a variety of ways:
1) hour-long, in-person presentations at your school; 2) hour-long, Zoom presentations at your school; or 3) panel presentations (3-4 speakers) in the Social Hall at the Jewish Community Campus, 5801 West 115th Street, Overland Park, KS.

Second Generation Speakers are not historians; their personal perspectives are intended to personalize the history of the Holocaust. Their presentations are appropriate for 7th through 12th grade students and adults.

Dates for the 2023-2024 school year have not yet been determined but will occur in November 2023 and April 2024. Please check back in September for specific dates.

For detailed information about our Second Generation Speakers Bureau and other types of presentations, see our SPEAKERS page.
