As our Holocaust survivors grew older, it became increasingly difficult for them to publicly give their testimony. Their children – the second generation – began to tell their parents’ stories and also speak about the unique experience of being a child of a Holocaust survivor.

The members of our Speakers Bureau are available to meet with school groups in a variety of ways:
1) hour-long, in-person presentations at your school; 2) hour-long, Zoom presentations at your school; or 3) panel presentations (3-4 speakers) in the Social Hall at the Jewish Community Campus, 5801 West 115th Street, Overland Park, KS.

Second Generation Speakers are not historians; their perspectives are intended to personalize the history of the Holocaust. Their presentations are appropriate for 7th through 12th grade students and adults.

Panel dates for the 2024-2025 school year are November 7, 2024 and April 17, 2025.

For detailed information about our Second Generation Speakers Bureau and other types of presentations, see our SPEAKERS page.
