Holocaust Library & Archive

The MCHE library includes nearly 3000 Holocaust-related titles that are available for free loan to teachers, students, or the general public.

The library includes the Witnesses to the Holocaust Archive – featuring the testimony of local Kansas City survivors – as well as scholarly texts, books appropriate for secondary students, picture books, films, and classroom sets of texts.

Borrowing Materials

  • Patrons may check out materials for four weeks.* Items may be renewed.
  • *During White Rose contest season, we may limit the check-out time for certain materials to a two-week period.
  • A $50 refundable deposit is requested for classroom sets of materials.
  • All materials must be returned directly to the MCHE office.
  • You may make special arrangements for loan by mail. We may request that you pay postage. Contact us.

Fees

  • The user of lost or damaged items will be charged for replacement costs.
