The Midwest Center for Holocaust Education accepts nominations to the MCHE Board of Directors and the MCHE Council of Advocates from the current membership. We invite all current members to review the responsibilities of each group below and to submit nominations using the following form.

MCHE Board of Directors

Members of the Board of Directors are responsible for:

• Oversight of MCHE’s finances and business affairs
• Oversight of MCHE’s bylaws and strategic plan
• Employment and oversight of MCHE’s Executive Director

Members of the Board of Directors agree to the following:

• Be a member in good standing
• Regular attendance at MCHE-sponsored events
• Regular attendance at MCHE quarterly board meetings
• Participation in committee appointments
• Agree to be elected to a 3-year term with the possibility of a second term for a total of not more than 6 years

MCHE Council of Advocates

Members of the Council of Advocates agree to the following:

• Support and promote the mission of MCHE
• At the discretion of the board of directors serve in an advisory capacity
• Be a member in good standing of MCHE
• Agree to be elected to a 3-year term with the possibility of a second term for a total of not more than 6 years
• Regular attendance at MCHE-sponsored events
