Aron Warren
Of Blessed Memory 1922 – 2008
Aron Warshawski was one of nine children born to Miriam and Abraham Warszawski in Będzin, Poland. His strictly observant parents were well known for their hospitality and their involvement in Jewish community activities. Only seventeen when the Germans invaded Poland, Aron spent the war in a series of slave labor camps. After liberation at Langenstein, Aron was eventually reunited with his brother and two sisters. The family lived in the Bergen-Belsen Displaced Persons Camp until they came to the United States in June 1946.
